Hi All and Congrats!
Today it seems we are officially the largest guild on Karak Eight Peaks. A hearty congratulations to everyone! As our numbers sit comfortably in the higher realms, and as more and more members slowly reach into the T4 environment, we thought we would very shortly be implementing some streamlining of the guild. The basics of these changes would be:
1. Maintaining a Current Roster of active and alt characters. This would allow up to date viewing of actual numbers (as opposed to numbers including alts).
2. Creating New Active Population based Officer numbers, and well as a few higher based officer classes for a day to day immediate running of the Guild (akin to a Guild Leader, no more than 6). Both sets will have powers to change and influence guild management.
3. A way to encourage people arranging Guild events. Remember, this is all of our Guild! Not just a few "at the top". We want this to be the best place where you can pick up a friendly, and reliable group or warband and stride out and either drive Destro before you, or, in my case, wind up face down in some dank corner of a dungeon!
4. Last but not least, a way that those who are interested, can apply and be granted officer status (numbers permitting of course!)
This is all going to be put in motion in the next couple of weeks. One of the first things I need to do is somehow get a grip on peoples mains and alts. Later today I will make a post and create a thread so that we can keep track of this. Everyone will be kindly requested to make one post, and list their main, and alts. This will of course be editable. More info on this will follow.
Why are we doing this? Because with our numbers, and the great people we have, with a little organisation, Destros days are numbered. Keeps will fall, Scenarios crushed, and Open RvR will be a delightful guild walk over the corpses of Destro.
