All of the details shown below are now confirmed.
I've taken Thursday 15th Feb and Friday 16th Feb off work. Therefore, arriving in Edinburgh pretty much any time on Thursday or Friday will be completely acceptable. Jen and Sandy are likely to leave the house around the middle of the day (i.e. around noon) on Thursday.
Early arrivals can expect to help get tables, chairs, network points, etc in place. You'll be rewarded in beer ;)
Jen and Sandy will return late afternoon on Sunday the 18th Feb (i.e. around 3pm) so if you can, please plan a leave for home around that time.
If possible, please confirm if you'd like to come along. Ralph/Peter - I'd love to see you, but I won't hold my breath, since I know how much of a trip it would be for you. Matt K, I expect you to be there (please check whether Rob and Pete would be interested in coming along, too)! Matt T, please let me know what you think - since I haven't seen you post here recently, I'll bother you by email and IM. I'll also add Iain, Dave and the mighty "Fudge" (yes, I have a 31 year old friend who still goes by the nick-name "Fudge"). Should everyone be able to come, this would give us 10 people!
I've also had a quick look at PC rental options - to hire an acceptable system (P4 3GHz, 2GB RAM, 128MB Radeon 9600, 19" monitor) would cost us around £80 per person. May be able to get a discount deal if we were hiring in bulk. This would allow people to attend without carrying a PC and monitor from far away - although the cost of hire may prevent this from being an attractive option.
