A new alliance for <Blade and Quill>

After a lot of hard work and negotiation, we are pleased to announce the creation of a new alliance!

"Nothing Ventured" is currently composed of <Blade and Quill>, <Team Conclave> and <Na Fianna Dragun>. We expect our friends in <The Northern Watch> to join as soon as their Guild Leader is online for an invite.

This platform of four active guilds will allow us to seek further allies and hopefully provides plenty of new opportunities for all our members to group together and achieve their goals in RvR and PvE. I have given everyone /as chat permission, so please don't hesitate to say "hi" to our new allies. As always, there is a totally open /as chat policy - so feel free to have cross-guild discussions any time you like.

Thanks go to Astrala for doing much of the hard work in getting this alliance up and running. Also, a final thanks and farewell to the few people we leave behing in our previous alliance. We had great times with many of our allies (so great that many of them can now be found within B&Q!), but the near-total inactivity of our current alliance meant that the time was right to make a fresh start...

This is what we need. I must admit that I was wondering why a guild of our size was allied with some tiny, inactive guilds. Looks like they weren't always tiny and inactive, from what Baz's written!

This marks the end of the first phase of alliance building. We now intend to find 5 more guilds for this alliance to bring a huge amount of firepower under a single chat channel.

Today's defence of Reikwald would have been less fun without the presence of our allies. The fortress defence was a good way of meeting some of them. :beer:

Thought I would post here just to say hi from one of the members of Na Fianna Dragun.

NFD is a few years old as a European gaming guild, my first contact with them was in Dark Age of Camelot where we focussed heavily on the PvP side of the game running regular guild groups.

As far as War is concerned the guild is currently L23 and whilst we have a mix of levels a number of us have been levelling together trying to get used to our toons, working as a team etc etc ready for some serious PvP activity. We are not quite at L40 yet but are active in T4.

I have been impressed with the size of B&Q. At first I wondered if it was too big, but you seem organised, helpful and friendly and so I really think the alliance could be positive for all of us.

Thanks for allowing me access to your site - look forward to seeing you in game (if it is a Belis it is probably me).

My first post here. \o/

I have been away on work and have quite a hectic working life. It was good to come back and see an active alliance chat and some groups forming up. Will be around more as time allows. I would suggest that as we all get through the levels you will see more of us in alliance ops.

I have played WAR as a casual player since beta and have yet to get any toon to 40. So once we start to hit the higher levels we will hopefully be out together a lot more.

Are you all used to using voice comms? Do you have a website and forum? Are you still recruiting? How stable is your membership (are people quitting)? How can you help this alliance? Do you run frequent guild events? Do you run a guild group in T4 rvr? Etc, etc! The more info you can give here, the easier it will be for up to make a decision. :)

We do have our ventrillo, sporadically used though.

T1-T4, 36members (Around 6~ online in the evenings/weekends)
Raid/Warband Experience
Groups is what we need an alliance for and we surely plan on making some. At the moment there might be one person fit to lead in T3 RvR.
Forum Usage
I'm sure that at least me and the officer will actively contribute into the alliance forum. We have our guild-only forum. I post on WHA daily, usually Warrior Priest related stuff.


@Other questions
We still recruit people, as we are spread among the tiers it's quite hard to make guild-only parties and thats indeed why I look for an alliance. About PvE, I personally treat it as a way to get gear for PvP and nothing more.
The guild is still in the state of developing and the players need motivation that lately is getting a hard time when one does press the "M" and look at T4.

A new application to your Alliance by Brothers in Arms.

Brothers in Arms is founded 2 months ago and now we are level 14. We have usually 5+ online members and this rises to about 10 at weekends.

We have members from all levels, so we can contribute Alliance Runs in every Tier.

The guild would like to ask if you guys are recruiting for alliance members ?

We are currently around 30 ish players , active as in 10 to 15 players on most evenings some times its less sometimes it more !!

Guild lvl 29 soon 30 :>

Player base is alot of old Daoc players from guilds such as Aesirs, Cutting Edge, Jack Hereh, Norseman Of Midgard, White Rose and the list goes on !

Type of Play is RVR, Scers, Guild Raids etc etc

Goods friends and good play and good team work !

We use vent all the time !

I would be greatful if you could let us know.
