Reskinning the forums

OK - after some gentle prodding, I've spent my entire evening buggering about with upgrading the forum version and installing a small number of extra skins.

Take a look under your control panel options (click http://immune-systems.co.uk/forum/profile.php?do=editoptions to go there directly) and play around with the options there.

Note that I strongly recommend you keep using the "Old Enough to Know Better" skin for the time being because:

1 - The other skins aren't branded yet (they still just have their default images included)

2 - The quick links sections for the new themes haven't been modified to work with this site yet (so you'll lose your quick links to the portal page, the arcade, etc)

3 - I haven't extensively tested the skins for errors

If you don't mind these facts, please feel free to use a variant skin that you prefer. I'll get round to the final tweaks some time over the next few days. If you spot any errors, please let me know!

The update to the forum software itself means that I can now easily add quite a large number of skins. Hopefully over the next few weeks you'll all find one you prefer!

Another 5 or 6 skins added to the forums and they are now all linking properly through the navigation bars (those links at the top of every page).

I'm pretty confident that you'll like some of the new skins (take a look at "Dragon", "Rohan" or "Merkia", for example - all very Warhammer appropriate).

I still haven't "branded" the images within the skins, but will make that my next task. I think we'll then have a skin to suit all tastes!

Suggestions or recommendations are very welcome.

Also, if anyone would like to pick a skin of their own, please take a look over at http://vbskins.com/. If you spot a free one you like, make a post here and I'll download it and install it for you. Can't say fairer than that, can I? ;)

Thor has delivered the goods and we now have Blade & Quill branded versions of Merkia, Rohan and Dragon.
