Double congratulations are in order this time.

Firstly, the guild has dinged level 25. This brings the usual benefit of another tactic slot but it also gives the benefit of reduced cost renown gear to all guild members. I'm unsure how big this benefit is (can't find any details online), so perhaps someone can take a check at the renown merchants and give us an idea of how much cheaper the items are?

Secondly, we have entered the renown top 10! Across the entire server (542 guilds in total) we are now one of the select few guilds that can claim outstanding levels of renown. We were 2 million points behind the Destro guild, <Invadoria>, and we are now around 1 million renown ahead of them. Our next objective of breaking into the Order top 5 is probably the first tough task we have faced. <Kalevala Syndicate> are now 5 million renown ahead of us - meaning that we've closed the gap by just 1 million renown over the last week or two. I think the top 5 position is certainly achievable, but it's gonna be a fight every step of the way!

I know that there is some good news every week or so for our renown and guild level progress, but this particular announcement is really special and should be a massive source of pride for everyone in the guild. Let's bask for a moment in the glory of becoming one of the top 10 groups of players on the whole server...

Btw there are three guild level 25+ mounts of different colours available. Later another set become available with 60% speed rather than just 50%.

The guild rank is taking such a long time to move, dont expect the faster mount anytime soon, I think its rank 36.

I am sure the guild rank xp is also affected by the amount of members in the guild, my old guild on AOC rerolled Order on another server on 24th Dec 08, they dinged guild rank 20 on 17th Jan 09, and are now the same rank as us, W&R are rank 21 and about 75% of the way to rank 22, and we merged into B&Q ages ago. They have said that the amount of members does not effect the rank but that has to be a load of crap.

The renown gain should increase now as the new patch has hopefully put life into the ORVR scene. Top 5 is possible no doubt.

They said the amount of Alts doesn't matter. the amount of active members offcourse is.
The more active, the more renown gain.

As is claiming keeps - something that we've never bothered to do.

With over 600g in the guild bank, we should consider a few keep claims and see if this makes a difference to our guild xp gain.

We'll burn through the 600g quite quickly, but let's give it a go to see what difference it makes.

Maybe we can make a keep claim a guild event. Try and take a keep before the Choo Choo gets there and with the new system defend it too :banana:
Does anyone know what happens to a claimed keep once a zone is locked? Does it go back to default or stay claimed until after IC is finished and the zones reset?

From what I saw last night, once a zone is locked we still own the keep.

Because the new transfers from other servers have bumped us back down to 12th place on the server! :(

The Destruction guilds <Bloodline> and <Legio DCLXVI> have popped into the top 10 ahead of us. Seems like a cheap way to lose our top 10 position, but in the long run it will only make us fight for that place even harder. :)

About guild XP. For example you have a guild which has 24 highly active people which then does LV,WPT,Crypts,SC's and ORVR compared to a guild with say 240 people in it doing the exact same thing with say 24-30 people doing those things stated the guild with lesser people in would get a guild rank alot quicker.

that's just not true Ryzare. Mythic has stated that in a grabbag. XP is XP and doesn't get divided by number of members.
